Being an entertainer can be one of the most gratifying jobs you will ever do. Performing in front of a live audience and getting that immediate positive feedback is like no other feeling on earth. It is so good that every performer has at one time in their life said that they love it so much that they would do it for free. You have said it yourself. The problem is that in this crazy life of show – BUSINESS, a lot of the time we feel like just that, we are working for free!

Show business. Hey, the bottom line is that it is all about the money. The people that you need to hire you for a gig are mostly concerned about making money and unless you can show them that the bottom line is going to be bigger using you as the entertainment instead of somebody else then guess what, you get lumped in with the rest of the group trying to book in work.  Then with lots of entertainers all looking to do the same gig the law of supply and demand says we will get less work for lower pay and even less respect once you finally do book a show.

I hate to admit it, but I was in the same exact situation years ago when I was doing stand up comedy. As funny as my show was, it was still a struggle to keep my calendar booked in? The pay was actually going down, as clubs started to cut back plus there was always the risk of me losing my date to someone famous. It was not uncommon to get canceled the week of the gig because some big draw would become available to the club.

That was the question I asked to myself and you need to ask yourself the same question. How do you draw people to see your show and making it profitable for the club to book you? Well, the first way is to become famous. Get on a TV show, do some movies, write a best selling book or a hit song and I am sure that you will be able to find a manager, agent, publicist and entertainment lawyer to book in some great high paying gigs for as long as you stay in the public eye.

When you finish your training with me you will be ready to do your first Hypnosis Show. And, as I also promised above I will show you a way that this whole program will cost you practically nothing. As part of your training I will help you set up your first show from start to finish. Including, how to find a venue, promoting and selling your tickets, doing the show itself, and product sales after the show.

Lets do the math on your first show:

Also, lets be totally realistic here. For many of you, this will be your first hypnosis show so we will need to stack the deck in your favor as much as possible. That is why I would suggest doing a show for friends and family as your test to break the ice. The tickets will be easier to sell because they will want to see you in your new performance and the crowd will be on your side right from the get go.

The rest of the first show plan will be pretty straightforward as well. The goal is to sell 200 seats for your first show. Get a bar, restaurant or hotel to give you the room for free on an off night in exchange for the food and beverage they will sell on 200 people. This is real easy. I do it all of the time and will show you how to do it.

Then get 15 of your closest friends and family and have them sell 10 tickets each for you.

Put up some posters at the venue and around town to sell a few more tickets. Hypnosis shows always draw interest because of the intrigue, no matter who is doing the show. 
Sell tickets yourself to other people that you know on your secondary list.

Total sales   250 tickets sold.    Now lets take 20% off for things not going quite as well as we would like.     That is 200 tickets sold at $15 equals  $3000 for your first show.  Also, lets say you don’t do any product sales after the show, even though you will. I always like to estimate down instead of up. It is always better to have a pleasant surprise and have everything go according to plan.

Now before you go jumping for joy and say, hey, I will just do this every month. Let me tell you right now. You can’t. This is a one shot deal. If you go to the well too many times you will burn everybody you know out, including yourself. This is just an example of what you will do to get your feet wet in the business and to make your money back right away and putting you in the black.

So let’s get back to the $3000 you are going to be paying me for the training, the rights to my show and product line. It doesn’t seem like that much anymore now does it? In fact it’s only $90 in interest if it took you 3 months to do your first show and paid the money back at 12% on a credit card. That’s practically nothing. And that’s if it took you three months.
